ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION CONDITION REPORT (EICR)

 What is an EICR?

Also known in the industry as a electric installation condition report, we issue these reports after we carry out a fully electrical assessment of your commercial property. Typically, we check for general wear and tear and any defects to ensure installations meet the latest safety standards and regulations.

By issuing these reports we can prevent potential issues happening across your site which helps to avoid costly repair bills in the future and prevent your site from interruptions due to electrical problems e.g sudden failure.

Smaller issues such as outdated cable coating, fabric or rubber will be noted on an EICR and we often make recommendations to replace them with a more reliable product, such as PVC.

Our Areas Of Inspection Include:

  • Light Switches & Fittings
  • Earthing & Bonding
  • Plugs & Sockets
  • Consumer Units

Who needs an EICR?

Businesses and commercial properties are required to comply with key regulations, including the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. It’s essential to arrange an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at least every five years to ensure safety and compliance.

LDT Electrical employs NICEIC-approved contractors who are fully qualified to carry out thorough testing and provide certified EICRs.
